Zinio, LLC Names Executives to Top Posts
Company Grows Marketing and Sales to Widen Its Lead In Digital Magazine Solutions Market
San Francisco, CA (August 31, 2004) - Zinio, LLC, worldwide leader in digital magazine production, distribution and circulation, today announced the appointment of David Zinman as senior vice president of marketing and product management, two senior appointments to the sales organization and promotions in sales, business development and engineering.
The company promoted Peter Longo to president of Zinio's publishing division and Jeff Bruce to senior vice president of worldwide sales. Additions to Zinio's sales force include Rita Burke as vice president of sales and David Rock as national sales director. Zinio's sales organization now averages 17 years of combined experience in magazine publishing. Other changes include the promotion of Rich Maggiotto to vice president of business development and Graham Golder to vice president in charge of engineering and network operations. The recent additions to Zinio's management come on the heels of the July appointment of Scott Kauffman as the company's new president and CEO.
Mr. Zinman, 37, will be responsible for marketing, product management and customer support of more than 160 digital magazines that Zinio distributes globally. Previously, he founded AdKnowledge, a pioneer of hosted solutions for online advertising and developer of the world's first central ad server, where he filled various roles as CEO, vice president of marketing, sales, business development and client services until the company was successfully sold to CMGI in 1999. He also has held senior positions with Banter, Avasta, CoVia and Engage, and was a management consultant at Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Zinman holds an MBA degree from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and graduated magna cum laude with a BA from Tufts University, where he founded Politica, a monthly magazine.
Ms. Burke was a Partner at Rising Tide, a strategic sales consulting firm, and brings more than 15 years of experience in a variety of senior positions in publishing. Mr. Rock most recently was director of client relations at Synapse Group, Inc. He also has held various senior circulation positions, working for consumer magazine publishers. Mr. Longo joined Zinio in April 2003, Mr. Bruce has been with the company since 2002, Mr. Golder joined the company in 2001 and Mr. Maggiotto has been with Zinio since the company's inception in 2000.
