Company Appoints Commercial Director to London Sales Office, Approaches 60 Digital Magazine Titles in the UK
San Francisco, CA (March 2, 2005) - Zinio, LLC, worldwide leader in digital magazine production, distribution and circulation today announced the appointment of Sarah Clegg as Commercial Director for its expanding sales efforts in the UK.
Zinio now boasts the most digital titles in the UK with nearly 60 magazines from leading publishers, including IPC, Dennis Publishing, VNU, Future and Jane's Information Group. After two years of actively developing the local market for digital magazines in the UK, the company is preparing for accelerated growth as the demand for digital publishing among UK publishers increases.
Based in London, Sarah Clegg will manage Zinio's expansion efforts in the UK. She will be responsible for sales, market development and working with established industry organizations to further the rapid growth of digital magazines as an important new category in periodical publishing. A veteran UK publishing executive, Ms. Clegg brings with her a wealth of expertise in publishing, broadcast and digital media. Previously, she was Commercial Director and Publisher at Popworld and held senior positions in sales and marketing with ClearChannel Entertainment UK and several divisions of Emap, including Smash Hits, Q and Heat at Emap Performance, J17 and Bliss at Emap Élan, plus Emap TV in the UK and Emap Contract in Australia.
